The Youth Adventure Trust helps vulnerable young people unlock their potential and lead positive lives in the future through the delivery of outward bound activities. Funding was to support the provision of a programme of outdoor and residential activities.

To help meet costs of activity days for vulnerable young people

The Youth Adventure Trust helps vulnerable young people unlock their potential and lead positive lives in the future through the delivery of outward bound activities. The grant supported the costs of a mountain camp residential.

The funding will be used to provide a bespoke virtual 1:1 mentoring scheme for vulnerable young people who may live in potentially harmful or disadvantaged environments who are at greater risk during the Covid-19 period.

Supporting vulnerable young people through the Covid-19 crisis

The funding will be used to run a mentoring scheme for young people. The project aims to support young people to gain the confidence to access local clubs and activities, increase their independence and build positive relationships.

Helping Young People

The funding will enable the project to deliver a structured programme of adventure-based activities to 11-16 year olds in Wiltshire and Swindon, leading to further opportunities including support, advice and a mentoring scheme.  The project supports young people who are experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage to develop self-confidence, skills and networks in order to overcome this barrier.

COVID19 - This grant will deliver remote and face to face mentoring sessions for 20 children and young people from low income families who are isolated at home due to Covid-19, and help them improve their emotional and physical wellbeing.

This project will provide residential breaks for children and young people from low income families.  Young people will increase their confidence, resilience and communication skills.
