The award is for a project focusing on Bristol's neighbourhood renewal areas where local residents will be trained and given on-going support to promote live arts events in their community.  The grant will contribute towards freelance fees, travel, show costs, publicity and training.

A partnership between Circomedia, Filwood Community Centre and Streetspace to deliver a weekly youth circus for local young people who will gain from the physical, social and creative benefits.

Filwood Youth Circus

The grant will be used to provide an exciting programme of activities where children and young people mainly from the St. Pauls' area of Bristol will learn circus and physical theatre skills. These will give young people confidence and enhance their self esteem. The community will be brought together and given a more positive image of young people through attendance at events and performances.
