This is an expansion and development of an existing project delivered by SPLITZ Support Service (SSS) in Wiltshire. The Paloma project aims to address the problems faced by adult victims of domestic abuse (DA), helping service users to feel more confident, have higher self-esteem, enabling them to live safely and free from fear._x000B__x000B_

A development of a current project (MK10059826) to provide information, advice and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged people who are "parenting alone" for a variety of reasons including bereavement, domestic violence, a partner being in prison, hospital or in the armed forces.

Support for vulnerable people parenting alone

SPLITZ will continue and expand its current work in Salisbury and Trowbridge to promote and ensure the safety of victims of domestic abuse and their children to reduce, prevent and mitigate the risk of repeating incidences. It promotes change in abusive and harmful behaviour and works collaboratively with other agencies to manage this risk constructively.

Turnaround Programme

This project provides an outreach service for people experiencing domestic abuse in Wiltshire. The initiative will be delivered in partnership with Wiltshire Council, and aims to improve the safety and wellbeing of beneficiaries and their families. The project will enable beneficiaries to live safely at home, free from fear, with improved knowledge and access to service and support.

The Elephant in the Room

SPLITZ will use its funding to work with perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse in Wiltshire. The project aims to improve the safety and well-being of women and their children by working with male perpetrators to help them change their harmful behaviour. The 25 week accredited programme is designed to help the men involved to understand their behaviour and how to manage it and involves peer support. Specialist support will also be provided to women affected by domestic abuse.

Splitz works with victims of domestic abuse, at every level of 'risk', across Wiltshire, their dependent children, as well as perpetrators of abuse with the aim of encouraging healthy relationships. The grant supported intensive support over 8 sessions for 10 young people identified as in need through their TeenzTalk school project

Splitz works with victims of domestic abuse, at every level of 'risk', across Wiltshire, their dependent children, as well as perpetrators of abuse with the aim of encouraging healthy relationships. Funding was to support the cost of employing a triage specialist over 3 years.

The project will use to funding to develop and expand its services in order  to meet the demands of Covid 19 expanding their programme and exploring new ways of supporting victims who are dealing with the aftermath of trauma and the effects of domestic abuse; specifically women and children with the aim of supporting their mental health and wellbeing and recovery.

TUKI Volunteers - COVID- 19 Response.

Towards Core costs Towards Men's Groups - a voluntary engagement programme for perpetrators of domestic abuse, primarily though not exclusively for military personnel and their families.
