This group provide training opportunities for people aged 13-19. They will set up a project that will aim to encourage young people to take part in exercise and educate them about a healthy lifestyle. The group operate in one of the most deprived areas in the country and they aim to improve the quality of life of the young people they will work with.

The project will improve basic skills and encourage young parents/parents-to-be to see training, further education and work as viable options after childbirth. It includes topics such as education for parenthood, planning preparation and responsibilities involved in the caring of children, job search skills and interview techniques, and information on employment and training opportunities. The organisation will work closely with Doncaster Primary Care Trust, SureStart and Connexions.

Young Parents Programme

Young vulnerable women and their partners will develop more knowledge, confidence and skills for parenthood and better care for themselves through training and advice services. Teenage parents and parents to be will be supported in their new role by the services.
