Towards the Alliance Coordinator and Community Development Worker posts, plus a contribution towards overheads and facilitated sessions for a strategic review and fundraising strategy. Key milestones to be completed by the end of this grant: (1) Financial sustainability strategy developed (2) Review of KWA structure and opportunities undertaken (3) Areas for community influence are identified and communicated (4) Number of residents actively involved in group activities increased from previous 12 months (5) Developed mechanisms for communications (6) Exit Strategy from Funding the Future in place

To work collaboratively on a future delivery and business plan for Knowle West that will increase the engagement of residents and empower citizens to participate in the delivery of activities that address priorities identified by local residents.

Toward the cost of taking on an intern to support the group's Eight programme, a creative industry training and employment platform for disadvantaged young people aged 18-30.

Based in Bristol's Knowle West area, the project involves employing a qualified youth worker to motivate and involve young people in the area to take part in the planning, proposals and design of a new landmark building to house state of the art media equipment, and expert staff bringing prestige and a new image to the area.

Archimedia Project

Knowle West Media Centre in Bristol will develop their community website and provide smart phones training to volunteers running food growing projects. This will enable food producers to share information and work together.

Connecting Food (CF)

COVID19 - This grant will fund additional staff hours and equipment to support young people in low income families and not in education, isolated at home due to Covid-19.  Young people will improve their life skills.

BBC Children in Need

This project will provide a wide range of digital tech activities for young people from low income families. These activities will increase confidence, improve essential skills and empower young people to make positive changes in their local community.
