The project is using funding to continue delivery of their PACT project which supports parents and children in Southwark through weekly parent groups pre- and post-natal courses leadership training and book sharing courses. The project is also using the funding to deliver face-to-face online or telephone meetings with individual families and distribute monthly Alexander Rose vouchers for families facing food poverty.  The project helps to connect families and reduce feels of social isolation.

This project will provide early years support to mothers and their children by building the resilience of local people and community organisations. Parents and their children will take part in group activities which have been designed by local parents working with health and education professionals. Volunteer child-minders work with children by engaging them in playtime, singing and other activities while parents can take part in workshops on topics including going back to work and the importance of play.

Citizens UK organises communities across the UK to act together on social justice issues. This project is a partnership between Citizens UK, the Migrants' Law Project at Islington Law Centre and Bhatt Murphy Solicitors which will support individuals trapped in the ‘Jungle’ in Calais and further afied in Europe, who have settled family in the UK to apply for their asylum claims to be heard by the UK.

Safe Passage - Calais+

This new two-year project based on a pilot and on scoping work which is currently running, is to build a regional approach to Living Wage accreditation. The project aims to create an accreditation scheme for Living Wage Places (towns, cities, boroughs, regions or zones) by working with key local employers (e.g. local authorities, universities, football clubs) to accredit them as LW Employers and to commit them to action plans to encourage other employers in the area to become accredited. Once a number of local employers become accredited, the area will be able to become a Living Wage Place, with a wider aim of tackling low pay across the country.

Safe Passage works to help refugees find safe, legal routes to sanctuary. On the 80th anniversary of the Kindertransport, this campaign aims to secure pledges from local authorities to take in at-risk child refugees. This grant will fund a series of cultural events designed to gain public support and commitments from local authorities.

Nomad Nations of Migration Awakening the Diaspora (NOMAD) works with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, to help them develop their confidence and successfully integrate into the wider community. This grant provides support to aid the organisation in dealing with the challenges posed by Covid-19.

This three-year continuation of a Trust funded project saw Citizens UK, through its Living Wage Foundation initiative, aim to grow and sustain the Living Wage Friendly Funder scheme and increase the number of people being paid the Living Wage across the UK. The project had two strands – recruiting additional funders into the Living Wage Friendly Funder scheme and campaigning to support Local Authorities to become Living Wage Employers and Living Wage Friendly Funders.
