This is a project by a charity in Poole, Dorset. The group will use the funding to run a series of confidence building sessions and expression through drama and writing skills for people living with mental health issues. This project supports unemployed adults in Cambridgeshire with mental health problems through a gardening initiative. Beneficaries receive a full induction covering health and safety, the use of protective equipment and the code of conduct they are expected to sign up to. While carrying out horticultural work beneficiaries will continue to see one of the organisation's employment advisers and receive support in gaining employment.

This is a job retention project for people with mental health problems, that will support and advise them in order to maximise their chances of keeping their jobs if they are at risk of losing them. It will also work with employers and GPs to improve awareness of mental health issues in relation to employment.

The project will support people with mental health problems at risk of losing their job. This will be undertaken through one to one support work developing case files and action plans, and rapid mediation between employers and employees. The project will also provide training and support to employers enabling them to retain the employed person. GPs will also receive training in mental health awareness.

This project works with people aged 18-65 years old with severe and enduring mental health problems who are unemployed or on long-term sick leave. This project provides an essential stepping-stone in helping people back to good health and employment. The project will offer a range of activities to develop beneficiary's skills, increase confidence, improve skills to manage their illness, improve physical and mental health and encourage participation within the community.

Designed to Grow

A project by this charity in Brent to promote their return to work initiatives amongst ethnic minority communities across London, by organising a series of conferences. The group will continue to work with attendees after the events to offer access to further education and employment.

Celebrating Diversity in our Communities

The charity will enable a group of adults that they support to return to good mental health to take part in an activity based residential course. The project aims to let service users challenge themselves, face their fears and work together with others.
